FLOWER & DECOR TIPS

VARY the height of your table centerpieces—have them low enough or high enough that they don,t block vision or conversation.

HAVE one of your attendants make sure all the family members receive their flowers—grandmothers, mothers, fathers, groomsmen and attendants—as soon as they arrive at the ceremony site.

BOOK your ceremony and reception in a lush garden or a greenhouse and you won't have to worry about additional flowers for decor.

ASK your reception site if they include anything to decorate the room from votive candles to centerpieces to hurricane lamps or large plants. Often they have them available and sometimes at a nominal charge.

CONSIDER ordering a few extra plates, glasses, cups, saucers, and silverware for any last-minute additional guests or any butterfingers during the reception service.

DRESS up chairs at the reception table with elegant tulle bows or with beautiful floral swags.

CREATE a more elegant atmosphere with a small upgrade on rental items like chairs. Sometimes nicer chairs can cost less than chair covers.

UPGRADE your linens. Create an entirely new look to your room with the color and texture linens provide. Let your linens sweep the floor, for an elegant and sophisticated look throughout.

IF your rehearsal dinner or even wedding reception is small, consider one long large table for dining.

IF you are renting a tent, ensure the rental company makes a site visit to make correct measurements and to determine the best way for the tent to be anchored.
